Good People All
The tradition of Celtic Yuletide family concerts with Magical Strings began in Seattle
in 1979. This musical family has delighted audiences around the Northwest at Yuletide ever
since with their festive renditions of carols from the world around.
Good People All brings you a selection of some of their favorite pieces from
over the years. As you listen to the magical combinations of Celtic harps, hammered
dulcimers, violins, cello lyre, harmonium, pennywhistles, Irish pipes and klangspiel, you
will feel the joyous mood of celebration that infuses the playing of Pam and Philip and
their five children, who were age 9 through 20 at the time of this recording. The spirit
of Christmas is the spirit of family, and this album conveys the love and joy that belong
to the season.
